The Ultimate Christmas Experience
For the first time, Richard is opening the doors to his beloved Virginia Park Lodge for a Christmas celebration like no other. Hosted by the big man himself - Richard, not Santa! - join us for two nights of festivities, fun and pure indulgence. This is Christmas at its best.
This is an exclusive event with only 14 tickets being made available. Tickets are available for rooms in the Main House only.
What to expect?
Christmas Eve
The festivities begin from 3pm, as you arrive to mulled wine, mince pies and checking into your bedroom.
Enjoy Christmas carols by candlelight with a boozy hot chocolate, before an oyster shucking class with Richard.
Move onto a delicious three-course feast from Richard and the Virginia Park Lodge team, before some late night live music around the piano.
Hang your stockings above the fireplace and head to bed - the big day is arriving!
Christmas Day
Just as Christmas should be - it's your day, and your choice. Opt for opening presents with loved ones, morning yoga, a few moments in the sauna or a lie-in, before a Champagne breakfast worthy of the occasion.
After breakfast, head to our home cinema with a full roster of Christmas classics, enjoy a woodland walk around the Deerpark Forest or a round of golf. A trip to one of our local Churches for Mass can also be arranged.
Transport down to Lough Ramor for the traditional Christmas Day Swim will be arranged for those who dare, with thermos' at the ready for afterwards!
Tuck into a festive High Tea before sinking into the sofas by the fire, heading to the cinema or stretching your legs before the night ahead.
Richard and the team will have been busy in the kitchen preparing a traditional festive feast - with all the trimmings and more. Expect a menu to remember, with a few surprises to boot.
For the rest of the night, tuck into our local cheese and terrine trolley, help yourself to a little port, enjoy some live music around the bar - whatever you need to enjoy the day to the fullest.
St Stephen's Day
Wake up to a relaxed morning with your choice of activities, and the ultimate recovery breakfast from 9am, and a leisurely checkout from 12pm.
On your departure, enjoy a few presents from the Virginia Park Lodge team, along with a few provisions to enjoy on your merry way. We'll be looking forward to next year already.
