Traditional Afternoon Tea in Virginia
Sunday 5th July • 12pm or 2pm
An old English tradition we've long adopted, Afternoon Tea dates back to the 18th century. It's said that Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedfordshire, was frequently too hungry to wait for her evening meal, so requested her staff bring her tea and light snacks mid-afternoon.
These days it's a little less practical and a little more elegant. We're delighted to be hosting a traditional Afternoon Tea at the Lodge this July, to be taken on our sun-drenched Terrace.
